Here are some impressions for you:

THE LODGE

The three domes of this unique vacation home are connected by arches and comprise of one bedroom, one bathroom, and a kitchen/living room area which opens up to a tropical garden facing the jungle.

The BEDROOM is equipped with a queen sized bed and has large, round windows to sit in and enjoy jungle views. All windows have mosquito nets so you can get a good night’s sleep. During the dry season you can open the roof and enjoy STARGAZING DIRECTLY FROM BED.

The BATHROOM is designed uniquely, equipped with a hot water shower and towels at your disposal. There is also a washing machine you can use.

The central dome is the largest one and offers a generous space for the kitchen and living room. The KITCHEN is fully equipped with a fridge/freezer, stove, blender, and coffee maker.

The spacious LIVING ROOM can be used to do yoga, meditate, or just relax and gaze into the jungle.

The GARDEN has been planted with a range of tropical plants. There is a seating area outside which is especially lovely in the late afternoons. If you want to relax in the shade, there is a hammock under the trees. Monkeys are frequent visitors and the flowers attract beautiful butterflies and humming birds.

BREAKFAST is available on request for an additional price of 12 USD per person/day. We bring you breakfast to the dome house (see examples in the photos). You can choose from typical breakfast, pancakes, french toast, sausages, etc. Accompanied by fruit or a smoothie.

*Please note that availability of breakfast depends on your travel dates and our other commitments. Send me a message to inquire!

GETTING THERE

The house is located a short 3 minute drive uphill (1.5km/1mile) from Montezuma center and beaches, in a quiet, relaxing residential neighborhood.

Montezuma is located on the southern tip of the Nicoya Peninsula in Costa Rica.

By plane: From San Jose, take a domestic flight to Bobano with FlySansa or Green Airways, then it's 10 minutes by car or taxi. Budget car rental has an office at Cobano airport.

By car: From San Jose, drive to Puntarenas (1h30), take the ferry to Paquera (1h15), and then continue to Montezuma (1 hr).

Public transport: Take the direct bus from San Jose with Transportes Cobano (from Terminal 7-10). The bus gets on the ferry in Puntarenas and then continues. Total travel time 6 hours.

Shuttle: There are daily shuttle services from many locations in Costa Rica available and alternatively, you can also catch a speed boat from Jacó to Montezuma Beach (reservation needed).

If you arrive at Liberia Airport, you can either continue by shuttle or rental car. Taxis are quite expensive, it's a 4 hour drive.

I will send you detailed directions on how to get to the lodge after your booking.

GETTING AROUND

Having your own transportation is recommended but not necessary.

I can help you with reservations for a rental car, ATV or scooter/motorbike.

From the property it's a 20-minute walk downhill to the center of Montezuma and its beaches. A Taxi costs about $6.

The local bus from Cobano to Montezuma passes every two hours, about 200 meters from the house (on the main road).
